Overview
Dali is one of the 16 prefecture level administrative regions in Yunnan Province. It is located in the west of central Yunnan Province with an altitude of 2090 meters. It is adjacent to Chuxiong Prefecture in the East, Pu'er City and Lincang City in the south, Baoshan City and Nujiang Prefecture in the West and Lijiang City in the North. It is one of the earliest developed areas in Southwest China. Dali is located in the plateau area, with little temperature difference in four seasons and distinct dry and wet seasons. The most representative scenic spots in Dali are butterfly spring, Cangshan Mountain, Erhai Lake, Dali ancient city, Chongsheng temple, etc.

Dali Transportation

Flight
Dali airport is 12 kilometers away from Dali city. There are flights to Kunming, Xishuangbanna, Tengchong, Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. Besides, there are flights from Dali to Kunming and Xishuangbanna every day. There is a flight from Dali to Guangzhou every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The departure time is 12:40 at noon, and the journey is about 3 hours. It stops in Kunming. From Dali to Beijing, there are flights every day, stopping in Kunming, with a total journey of about 5 hours.

From Lijiang, Kunming, Shangri-la,Pu'er to Dali by Flight
No matter which city you fly from Yunnan to Dali, you have to transfer in Kunming. Generally speaking, flying from Yunnan to Dali is not an ideal way.

Kunming has only one railway station, which is Dali railway station.

From Kunming to Dali
You can take the bus at Kunming Western Bus Station to Dali. The ticket price is 142 yuan, it runs every half an hour from morning to night, and the whole journey lasts for 4.5 hours.

From Lijiang to Dali
You can take the bus at Lijiang Passenger transport center to Dali. The reference ticket price is from 79-108 yuan.
