Sichuan Qianfoshan Montain Reserve

Overview
Sichuan Qianfoshan Mountain Reserve is located at the junction of the three counties of Anzhou District, Beichuan County, Mianyang, Sichuan, and Maoxian County, Aba Prefecture, Sichuan. It covers an area of about 220 square kilometers and is only 50 kilometers away from Anzhou City. It is ancient and mysterious. It was formed during the glacial activity of the Quaternary Period in the ancient Jurassic. The mountains formed a refuge for the ancient biological community under the invasion of glaciers and became a place for the preservation and reproduction of a variety of plants. The Thousand-Buddha Old Ancestral Temple was built in the Tang Dynasty. “The saint obviously should have been created in the Tang and Song dynasties, and the Buddha’s majesty and clean stone room lasted forever” records the age and historical changes of the Thousand-Buddha Temple.

What to see
Qianfo Mountain has a long cultural and historical history, rich in animal and plant resources. It integrates the advantages of ecological Buddhism and history and culture. Qianfo Mountain belongs to the Paleozoic Silurian sedimentary crevice zone. The southwest side of the cliff is towering, like a knife and axe. Deep valleys are formed underneath, there are many waterfalls of different sizes and shapes, seas, 10,000 acres of wild rhododendrons on the mountainside, and the sea of sunrise and clouds on the top of the mountain. The Buddha light constitutes a unique natural landscape of "a mountain divided into three zones, with different scenery." Thousand Buddha Mountain is tall and majestic, majestic and colorful, with obvious vertical climate distribution. The main colors of the four seasons are distinct. It forms a typical sub-alpine ecological landscape of "seeing rhododendrons in spring, waterfalls in summer, maple leaves in autumn, and ice and snow in winter". The peaks are verdant and tall, and huge stones are majestic. Strange rugged, lush trees, pandas, golden monkeys and other animals leisurely in the mountains, strange mountains, rock monsters, beautiful waters, peaks, forests, and clouds form the unique natural scenery of Qianfo Mountain.
