Overview
Daocheng Yading Nature Reserve is mainly composed of three mountains (xiannairi, yangmaiyong and xianodoji) and surrounding rivers, lakes and alpine meadows. It is one of the most complete and original Alpine natural ecosystems in China. Like the local devout Tibetans, hiking is the best way to experience the scenery of Yading. However, due to the high altitude of Yading Nature Reserve, it still needs considerable physical strength to walk all the way.

Weather & Climate
Daocheng County is located in the subtropical climate zone. Affected by the complex terrain of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau, Daocheng County presents the characteristics of plateau climate and continental climate. It belongs to plateau monsoon climate. The weather is sunny and sunny most of the year. The annual effective light reaches about 1750 hours. It is rainy and foggy in summer and rainy in the afternoon.

Spring and Summer
Daocheng Yading's spring and summer are always intertwined, making people can't tell when spring is and when it is summer. In short, by the time of June, Daocheng Yading is already a verdant color. The forest,the river and the grassland is green, there are other colors in the green, that is Azaleas. Dozens of species of Azaleas occupy slopes from 2000 meters to 4500 meters above sea level. Red, white, purple flowers interspersed between the forest and the grass, showing their own splendor on the road you pass

Autumn
When the short summer passed, Daocheng Yading ushered in its most fascinating and mysterious autumn. After a night's autumn wind, the mountains and the land changed their appearance, and the whole Daocheng Yading became thick and deep. The forest under the snow mountain changed from single green to dark green and golden.

Winter
Winter in Daocheng Yading comes with cold wind and heavy snow. The white snow spread from Gonggarisong snow mountain to all around, covering every corner of Yading. The rivers and streams were sealed up again, and the ice was covered with thick snow. From a distance, there was no smell of sea seeds, like a pile of flat snow nests.

Best time visit Daocheng Yading
The best time to visit Daocheng Yading is Autumn between September and November. During those months, all plantations around the mountains and meadows change to various wonderful red, orange, yellow and golden colors with the clear blue sky and white clouds mirrored by the crystal clear alpine lakes, which makes the perfect natural photo them for every tourist and photographer.
