Firstly, drive about 1.5 hours to a tea hill which is on the foot of the Qingchengshan Mountain. Dujiangyan is the birthplace of tea culture in Sichuan province. There are more than 30000 mu of tea gardens in the city, among which the green tea of Qingcheng Mountain is the most special. The tea garden at the foot of the mountain is very secluded. It is not like an ordinary tourist area. And there are all kinds of ancient tea rooms here, just like a paradise. You will spend about 4 hours hiking on this secluded country road, enjoying the elegant tea hill and the rural scenery here. Along the way, you can also say hello to the local farmers as you can.
Upon arrival at the top of the mountain, you will find a Taoist temple called Zhangrenguan, which is said to be one of the birthplaces of Taoist culture. Although it is very shabby, there are still a few Taoists living here. After a brief visit to the Taoist temple, you will continue to explore the surrounding forest, then go down the mountain and go to the local tea house for a cup of tea.
After tea tasting, return to Chengdu in the afternoon.
