On that day, people from many ethnic areas got up early in the morning to bathe in Buddha worship, and then began to celebrate for several days. Huashan Festival of Miao People
Huashan Festival, also known as "stepping on Huashan" and "jumping flower", is a traditional festival of Miao nationality. It is prevalent in the south of Sichuan and southeast of Yunnan. Different festivals are held around the Dragon Boat Festival in May. During the festival, the Miao people gather in their costumes to the traditional jumping ground. Young men and women dance in the center of the dance ground. The male youth also compete in pole climbing, horse racing, archery, singing, dancing and beauty pageant.
Dian Opera (Yunnan Opera)
Yunnan opera is a kind of traditional local drama in Yunnan Province. It was formed in the Daoguang period of Qing Dynasty, and was popular in Yunnan Province, Guizhou and Sichuan. Some areas in Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and other countries also had singing activities. Yunnan opera has a unique tune and strong expression.
