Chengdu Zhangjiajie Package Tour: 7 Days Chengdu Zhangjiajie Highlights Exploration

Day 1 Chengdu Arrival

Our Chengdu private tour guide and driver will meet you at the exit of Chengdu train station or airport holding with a welcome signal "Chengdu Private Tour" .

What you need to do is sitting back and relaxing in the car. Your guide will help you check in the hotel in the downtown Chengdu and provide information you need.

Day 2 Chengdu

Firstly, spend half days to explore the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding and Research Center, The Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base (or Chengdu Panda Base for short) specializes in baby pandas and their care. It's one of the most popular destinations for foreign travelers. And it's a must-go place when you go to Chengdu. Chengdu Panda Base not only takes care of breeding pandas, but also focuses on providing interactive activities that teach people about pandas and their protection. Besides cute giant pandas, there are also red pandas, black swans, and peacocks in the base.

Then, move on to the Wenshu Temple. The large Buddhist Wen Shu Monastery in the north of town has become a major tourist attraction in Chengdu and the surrounding neighborhood has undergone extensive renovations. The temple itself is clean and relatively quiet. There are small ponds and underused buildings in corners of the complex where you can sit and relax. Every now and then a preoccupied monk scurries past, but the grounds are mostly filled with strolling visitors.

Your lunch will be arrange at a Vegetarian Restaurant in Wenshu Temple. All the food made by vegetable.

After lunch, lead you around the temple and head to the Wangjianglou Park, Wangjiang Lou (Wangjiang Pavilion or the Pavilion to Watch the River translated into Chinese), together with the Wuhou Memorial Temple (Wuhou Ci), and Dufu's Thatched Cottage are the top three attractions in Chengdu city.  

The Wangjiang Pavilion in the park is one of the featured historical buildings; it was built to memorize the great poetess - Xue tao (??). The main attractions in the park includes the Well of Xue tao, Zhuojin Pavilion (???), Pavilion for reciting poems (???) , Pavilion for washing bamboo slips and Pavilion of the five immortals in the sky (???), etc. The Wangjiang Pavilion is of a height of 39 meters and is also called Chongli Pavilion.

In the late afternoon, lead to the locals Hot-Pot Restaurant. The hot pot is one of Sichuan's oldest methods of cooking and is still a popular choice for a night out in Chengdu. While the hot pot is kept simmering, ingredients are placed into the pot and are cooked at the table. Typical hot pot dishes include thinly sliced meat, leaf vegetables, mushrooms, wontons, egg dumplings, and seafood. Vegetables, fish, and meat should be fresh. The hot pot in Chengdu can be very spicy because almost everyone lives here loves spicy. But there is also a choice of non-spicy hot pot.

At last, drive you back to your hotel in Chengdu downtown.

Day 3 Chengdu-Zhangjiajie by Flight

Drive you to Chengdu Shuangliu Airport, take flight to Zhangjiajie. Upon your arrival at Zhangjiajie, our local English-speaking tour guide & driver will pick you up at airport and then transferred to your hotel in Zhangjiajie. The rest of day is free for you to explore the city.

Day 4 Zhangjiajie

In the morning, our guide will pick you up at your hotel lobby in Zhangjiajie.

The first stop for today is Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. It is No.1 National Forest Park of China, with its exquisite forests, odd-shaped peaks and rocks, the beautiful canyons, the limestone caves, and the breath-taking panoramic views. And is a unique national forest park located in Zhangjiajie City in northern Hunan Province in China It is one of several national parks within the Wulingyuan Scenic Area.

And then you will take the cable car to Huangshi Village,

You will firstly take the cable car to Huangshi Village, located in Wulingyuan Scenic Area in Zhangjiajie, is one of the top 5 highlight travel itineraries of China. It is said that during the Han Dunasty, Zhang Liang (a politician) quitted from the political field and started his round tour. When he came to this area, he was blocked by officials. And finally, his teacher named Huang Shi Gong helped him to ran away. From then on, this place was called Huangshi Village.

After that, continue our tour to Golden Whip Stream, Located in the east of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, named after the 380-meter high Golden Whip Rock, Golden Whip Stream meanders 15 Li. Flowing from Laomo Gully first to Confluence of Four Rivers then to Suoxi Stream, it finally joins Li river, one of the four rivers in Hunan Province. Golden Whip Stream (Jinbian Stream) is famous for its pristine water, its verdant mountains, its steep cliffs and its serene valley.

After the tour, you will be taken back to your hotel in Zhangjiajie.

Day 5 Zhangjiajie

In the morning, our guide will meet you at your hotel lobby. The activities for today including Yuanjiajie Scenic Area and Tianzi Mountain.

Firstly, drive you to Yuanjiajie Scenic Area. It is situated in the north part of the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, with a total area of about 1,200 hectares and an average elevation of 1,074 meters. According to the legend, the name of Yuanjiajie comes from the late Tang Dynasty (618 – 907). After the failure of Huang Chao’s uprising, the court put up notices to catch the rebels. A subordinate of Huang Chao, whose family name is Yuan in order to elude pursuit, he buried himself away in the Qingyan Mountain and then named there as "Yuanjiajie". Yuanjiajie covers a large geographical area. Generally speaking, tourists o-nly visit a small part area of the Yuanjiajie. From Shuiraosimen, the heart place of the Zhangjiajie, take Bailong Elevator  to Yuanjiajie and then take bus to the main zone of Yuanjiajie for visiting the Fascinate Platform (Mi Hun Tai), the No.1 Bridge under Heaven and the Avatar Hallelujah Mountain.

Having lunch at local restaurant nearby will recommended by our guide.

After lunch, continue the tour to Tianzi Mountain. It is named after the farmer Xiang Dakun of the Tujia ethnic group, who led a successful local farmers' revolt and called himself "tianzi". This means son of Heavenand is the traditional epithet of the Chinese emperor. It is also made out of marble. The Tianzi Mountains are deemed sacred by many Sulamitos who used to inhabit the outer regions of Hunan. It was discovered in September 2014 that Mal Oghlum people had left traces of their burial rituals beneath the Tianzi Mountains, which led to "Yalan Group", led by Eybi Sulam and Yavshak Karadeniz asking for a permit from the Chinese government, which as of 2015, had been unanswered.

After the tour, you will be taken back to your hotel in Zhangjiajie.

Day 6 Zhangjiajie

In the morning, our guide will pick you up at your hotel lobby.

Firstly, you will pay a visit the Yellow Dragon Cave. It is the largest limestone cave in Asian. located at the eastern end of Wulingyuan Core Scenic Zone, just like an underground “magical palace”: the wide caves, deep and secluded underground rivers, hanging waterfalls and dense stone bamboo shoots with totally incomparable style!

After that, you will have a boat cruise around Baofeng Lake. which is also known as “Jade Pool under the Sun” and integrates natural beauty and folk custom together, and its highlights include the mirror-like lake, the marvelous Baofeng Waterfall, the One Line Valley and the mysterious Baofeng Temple etc.

Drive you back to your hotel.

Day 7 Zhangjiajie Departure

After breakfast, transfer you to the Zhangjiajie train station, airport for your next tour destination.
